A chiropractor website that turns visitors into bookings
What makes a new patient choose one chiropractor over another before they ever walk in?
When I was travelling through every country in the world, my back took more punishment than I like to admit, and I have chosen more than one chiropractor in a strange city from my phone. The decision always came down to the person: who will treat me, how does the first visit work, can I book tonight. Here is how I answer those questions when I design a chiropractor website, step by step.
Step by step
Lead with the practitioner
The first screen should show the main chiropractor: a real portrait, a name, years in practice and one or two warm facts. A stock photo of a spine model tells a patient nothing.
Booking in one tap
If the clinic already uses HealthEngine, Cliniko or Nookal, the website should send people straight there from every page, with a booking button for each practitioner.
Explain the first visit step by step
What happens, how long it takes, what to bring, what to wear. A simple four-step block removes the main worry of a new patient.
Show fees and health fund rebates
A clear price for the first consultation and follow-ups, and whether HICAPS is available on the spot.
Open now, address and parking
A live opening status, a map and one line about parking answer the practical questions before the patient calls.
Reviews within AHPRA rules
Only complete, non-clinical testimonials, plus a link to all Google reviews. No claims about outcomes, no “best chiropractor in Perth”.
Built for the phone first
A sticky bar at the bottom with “Call” and “Book online”, large buttons and light pages that open fast on mobile data.
Concept · our vision
Example: a concept for Capacity Health, Subiaco
Capacity Health is the chiropractic clinic of Dr Paul Patterson in Subiaco. I audited its public website and built a concept around Dr Paul. This is my vision, not the clinic’s official website.

- Dr Paul’s portrait and story on the first screen
- A “Book with Dr Paul” button and a booking button for every chiropractor
- A live “open now” status in Perth time
- The first visit in four simple steps
- Complete, non-clinical reviews and a link to the Google rating
- A sticky Call / Book online bar on phones
The bottom line
People do not book a clinic, they book a person they already trust a little. Put the practitioner first, make booking one tap, explain the first visit and show the fees. Do that and the website starts doing the work your reception does on the phone.
